Hawkesbury (time to move on)

Just the hull left here - roof and sides burnt away

I took Karen to work on Monday morning and this was the sun rising as we left the boat just before 6.30.

Our mooring in Hawkesbury
We had had a busy weekend, taking in a trip to Wallingford to see Karen’s brother in law, Keith, in a play.  We took the opportunity to catch up with some of our other friends and family too.  The play was on Saturday evening which meant we would miss the rugby so Karen’s mum recorded it for us as we were stopping overnight with her.  We watched it into the early hours of Sunday morning when we got back to hers and were able to avoid hearing the result beforehand.

Buddy and I had a couple of good walks on Monday and just round the corner from where we have been moored we came across the sorry sight at the top of the page .  Poor owners have completely lost their boat to fire – I wonder how long it will be before it is taken out?

Oh yes, Buddy’s rash has practically cleared up now – he thanks everybody who has sent messages asking how he is.
